Caitlin joined Evidence for Democracy after completing an interdisciplinary PhD in biological and biomedical engineering at McGill University. As a scientist by training, Caitlin is passionate about the use of evidence to inform policy decisions, as well as making research accessible and engaging for members of the public. Caitlin manages the research portfolio at E4D and is also leading an upcoming campaign called Evidence Matters, with the goal of equipping citizens with the tools they need to effectively engage with everyday evidence. During graduate school, Caitlin was involved in science communication initiatives through Pint of Science and Useful Science. More recently, Caitlin has written for University Affairs and The National Observer about the state of transparency in government policy announcements and the need to connect researchers with science policy training opportunities.
